Smart messages
If you have a photo uploaded, you can also activate the Smart Messages feature to automatically start as many conversations as possible with people who match your needs.
How it works? If you have the Smart Messages feature enabled, preset greeting messages will be sent on your behalf to the people most relevant to you. Once someone decides to send a reply to this message, you will have a dialogue with this person and you can continue your communication in person.
You can activate or deactivate Smart Messages by going to the Subscriptions section of Settings.
Don't have a subscription yet? This is not a reason to go unnoticed! You can attract the attention of potential interlocutors by sending them a prepared greeting.
To do this, go into a dialogue with the person you like, click on the palm icon and select the greeting you like.
How to create the perfect first message?
Your first message is very important, because it determines how long and interesting the communication with the chosen person will be. Here are some tips to keep in mind when writing to someone for the first time:
- Create the perfect profile. The first thing a user will do when they receive your message is go to your profile to learn more about you. Make sure you add your best photos and fill out your profile completely. The more your interlocutor knows about you, the more likely he is to become interested and write back to you.
- Be polite. Remember that you are addressing a person for the first time, so keep a neutral tone and do not make intrusive or awkward compliments.
- Be creative. Message "Hello! How are you?" has a greater chance of getting lost among others. Think about how you can interest your interlocutor. Go to a person's profile to learn more about their hobbies or work - this will help you come up with an interesting question or joke to start a conversation.
- Do not hurry. Most people need time to realize that they have met the right person. Tell us about yourself, ask about your interlocutor. You should not invite your interlocutor to a cafe or a long trip out of town on the very first evening of meeting - remember that building strong relationships requires gradualism.
